 In May, APLETS founder Tracy Sininger met with Jean Stinson, President of CABIS, to discuss a partnership, establishing a strong and united relationship between the two agencies. By June 19, APLETS became a registered nonprofit, with CABIS offering office and classroom space. Later, APLETS held its first Annual General Meeting, forming a Board of Directors, and established its online presence. In November, APLETS received a grant from the Red Deer & District Community Foundation to pilot the Life Enrichment Support Worker Program. 

 From February to April, APLETS ran the pilot for its Life Enrichment Support Worker Program, which was officially licensed by Alberta Advanced Education on August 29. In October, a private funder provided student loans for five participants, and by mid-November, APLETS secured its own office space, complete with two classrooms. A new program session began in December. 

 In March, a session of the Life Enrichment Support Worker Program concluded, and a new session began in April, ending in July. APLETS then received a grant through CABIS from the Lifelong Learning Council of Red Deer to pilot the Life Enrichment Skills for Living Program, which ran from September to December. Additionally, CABIS began donating $4,800 per year to APLETS, with APLETS volunteering at bingo events as part of this collaboration. 

 The year began with preparation for a new session of the Life Enrichment Support Worker Program in March, followed by a Life Enrichment Skills for Living Program session in April. APLETS continued to grow community awareness and fundraising efforts for its programs. 

 This exciting year saw APLETS launch three sessions of the Life Enrichment Support Worker Program, with a fourth beginning in December. A summer session of the Life Enrichment Skills for Living Program was also successfully completed. APLETS collaborated with building partners to apply for a study grant for its Affordable Housing Project and eagerly awaits the results.
